Anti Semetic or Opinion? Either way you pay the price...

Poor old Mel Gibson. After a drunken outburst accusing Jewish people's of being responsible for all the wars in the world (a mite harsh, but on the back of the ridiculous 'incursions' now raging in the Middle East, it's easy to see where the outburst came from) he is now paying the ultimate price as his TV project's are being pulled from Yank networks Guardian thingy.

Hollywood has a big Jewish influnce (the back-end money is apparently funding the Israeli forces - think about that next time you go and watch the 'cutey animal cartoon film') and Mel is learning the proverb of biting the hand that feeds it.

But his back peddling is a bit obnoxious. Now he has to go through a 'healing process'? Willing to meet with community leaders? WTF? Have an opinion, yes. A little inadvisable to blurt out whilst drunk in front of the local constabulary, yes. But have the backbone to stick with your convictions, gawdammit!

WWJD? Bomb the Lebanese, apparently!

You'd think he'd take this issue head on. After all, if he managed to defeat Tina Turner and her Thunderdome then the unrepentant Israeli forces should be easy meat...

I think you missed the point completely. He's not having all his shows dropped like lead balloons because of the Jewish mafia controlling Hollywood. He was supposed to be involved in producing a Holocaust mini-series. Apparently the TV network thought it would be insensitive and more than a mite hypocritical, to have Gibson involved in such a project.
If he'd blurted out something like "America deserved 9/11 and I wish more people had died - they deserved to", would you expect him to be the BBC voice over for a documentary about the Twin Towers?
Also, you ought to back up snide accusations with some actual facts. Just throwing around statements like, "the back-end money is apparently funding the Israeli forces" is really obnoxious if it's based on "a mate once told me" or "I read somewhere that". It really smacked of the traditional anti-semite fearmongering that "the Jews control the world and all Jews are collaborating to kill Palestinial babies". If you have evidence that all of Hollywood funds the IDF directly then you need to bring the proof. Otherwise it's as absurd as me claiming that "I heard the Guardian funds Hamas".
